Porous and water-stable hybrid semiconductors as multifunctional materials display traits that are essential for demanding commercial applications. In their Research Article (e202218429), Ioannis Spanopoulos co-workers report a strategy generating porosity in metal halide by using molecular cages both structure-directing agents counter-cations. This gave rise to direct bandgap semiconductor with record water stability selective vapor sorption.
